Hello folks! After a long hiatus, I finally managed to get back here to post up some new pics! Sorry to those of you who'd checked back here hoping to find something new in the past few months. I haven't been here for such a long time myself that I couldn't log in because I'd forgotten the password and had to reset it! Anyway going back a few months now to August-September last year (2007), we made a trip to New Zealand's South Island for a bit of skiing and some sight seeing. So here are some photos...
Some sunny weather at Coronet Peak near Queenstown, New Zealand. This field was our first ski stop but as you can see from the photo, it was late in the season and the snowcover wasn't that great. So we soon moved on.
The cover was much better over at The Remarkables, which are the second nearest slopes to Queenstown. Kingy says, "Do you think my goggles are gonna be big enough?"
Having a good time at The Remarkables.
After we left the ski slopes, we took a long but scenic drive down along the South Island's southwest coast where we jumped aboard a cruise at Milford Sound. The weather was wet but that meant spectacular scenery with hundreds of waterfalls into the Sound. We also saw penguins and southern fur seals on this cruise so we had a terrific day there.
